Bruce is the co-founder and CEO of Cornerstone Capital Partners. Bruce was previously the Chief Investment Officer at Motseng Investment Holdings. Bruce was an Executive with the Group for over eleven years responsible for the group’s investment strategy across various sectors and asset building strategy. In 2009 he co-founded Tuffsan 89 Investment Holdings, which later became Delta Property Fund, and crafted its asset building strategy that culminated in its IPO/Listing on the Johannesburg Securities Exchange (JSE) in 2012 with assets of circa ZAR2.1bn (2012). He also successfully completed 4 principal/private equity investments valued at circa ZAR300 million. Prior to joining Motseng, Bruce was Deputy Managing Director at Kagiso Ventures (Kagiso Tiso Holdings). During his tenure, the business has concluded over 10 transactions and realized 4 exits with an average internal rate of return of 83% (realized) or 7.9x money back. Bruce was a non-executive Director of 10 portfolio companies covering various sectors including; infrastructure services, healthcare, information services, media, engineering services, tourism, FCMG, transport and others. He was also a member of Kagiso Group’s Executive Committee and the capital raising team, responsible for raising various commitments from strategic partners.
Bruce has 21 years of corporate finance and private equity experience. He was formally with Rothschild based in Johannesburg, specialising in mergers and acquisitions. Prior to Rothschild, he was formally with the HSBC in Johannesburg where he was an Associate in the Mining and Diversified team. Prior to returning to South Africa in 2002, Bruce was at CIT Corporate Finance based in New York, where he gained experience in the origination, structuring and execution of leverage buyouts, mergers and acquisitions in various industries. While at CIT he participated in over $1.3 billion of senior debt, mezzanine and equity financing.
Prior to CIT, Bruce spent three years in the corporate finance at Black & Veatch, in Kansas City (USA).
Bruce received his BS in Finance from Emporia State University (USA) and holds an M.B.A from Rockhurst University’s Helzberg Business School (USA).
Reginald is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Cornerstone Capital Partners. He brings more than 18 years of experience in capital raising and structuring, corporate finance and venture capital. For over 6 years, Reginald regularly advised GE customers on bespoke financial solutions in support for GE divisions such as: Transportation, Mining, Power & Water, Oil & Gas, Healthcare, Aviation and Energy Management sectors. Reginald worked on and assessed multi-sector transactions in many sub-Saharan African markets. During his tenure at GE, Reginald has worked on transactions worth over $3 billion. Reginald also pioneered the idea for GE’s new $25 million SME Fund created in 2015, which will fund 51% owned black SMEs who supply/provide services to the GE South Africa/Africa eco-system. Reginald was part of the SME Fund formation committee that created the legal and financial structures for the SME Fund.
Prior to GE, Reginald was Head of Debt Capital Markets – Origination for Sub-Saharan Africa for Barclays/Absa Capital based in South Africa. He was responsible for winning the largest tender mandate at the time being Transnet’s R30 billion domestic note issuance program as well as several other prestigious mandates in South Africa and Botswana. Reginald also held a similar responsibility as Co-Head of Debt Capital Markets – Origination at Morgan Keegan, a regional investment bank based in the U.S. where he worked with predominantly mid-market U.S. corporations.
Reginald began his career at Salomon Smith Barney/Citigroup in New York in the corporate finance unit responsible for M&A, equity and debt capital raisings, and Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the debt capital markets unit responsible corporate bond origination and execution in the Media & Telecom sectors where he worked on over 70 transactions during his tenure, respectively.
Reginald holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University (Chicago, IL), a Master’s degree in International Economics/Finance and Energy & Resources Studies from The Johns Hopkins University – School of Advanced International Studies (Washington, DC), and an undergraduate degree in International Relations from Morehouse College (Atlanta, GA). Reginald also completed Harvard Business School’s Management Development Program (Charlotte, NC) for early- and mid-career professionals.
Devon is a Senior Vice-President of Cornerstone Capital Partners. Most recently, Devon was the Corporate Finance Manager of Celbux Consulting, a cloud-based mobile payment solutions company, where he works directly with the CEO and CFO on the company’s fundraising efforts and all corporate finance endeavours.
Devon has over 10 years of corporate investment banking experience in New York. He was formally with BNP Paribas, specialising in Financial Institutions Coverage, and worked on many high-profile deals including the initial separation phase of MetLife’s $240 billion U.S. retail insurance business into Brighthouse Financial. Prior to BNP Paribas, he was formally with Lehman Brothers Holding, where he worked on the company’s restructuring bankruptcy process and settlements of its outstanding derivative transactions.
Devon began his career in New York at Deutsche Bank’s Corporate Investment Banking division, initially in the Mergers and Acquisitions group, then later with the company’s Financial Institutions group. He was the lead analyst on several of the bank’s engagements, including the $500 million IPO of Chimera Investment – a Mortgage REIT company, and M&I Bank’s acquisition of Taplin, Canida & Habacht, an asset management firm.
Devon received his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting, with a focus on Finance from Michigan State University (USA).
Given is a co-founder of Cornerstone Capital Partners. He has more than 21 years’ experience in Media and Broadcasting. Given Mkhari is the founder and Group CEO of MSG Afrika Investment Holdings. The Group has investments in 15 companies in the Media, ICT and Communications fields with operations in over 14 markets on the African continent. Mr. Mkhari served in various aspects of the media and creative industries including, but not limited to, radio broadcasting and management, television production, public relations, advertising and events management. He used his passion for creativity to co-found the first campus based radio station to be licensed by IBA. Mr. Mkhari joined a New York based radio station, WBLS, and became an international correspondent for Metro FM, until Kaya FM decided he would be a great addition to their management team. He co-founded The Communications Firm in 2000 and serves as its Chairman of the Board. Mr. Mkhari serves as the Chairman of MSG Africa Media and a Director of Johannesburg of The Jupiter Drawing Room (South Africa). He has been an Independent Non Executive Director of Dialogue Group Holdings Ltd. since December 1, 2006. Mr. Mkhari is a Director of loveLife trust and The International Marketing Council of South Africa. He also served as the Chairman of The Jupiter Drawing Room. Mr. Mkhari has been a producer, a Deputy Programme’s Manager and even one of the most recognized South African Talk Show hosts in the field of radio. Until 2009, Mr Mkhari was a director of The International Marketing Council of South Africa appointed by the President of The Republic of South Africa. Amongst other accolades he is the recipient of Men’s Health Businessman of the Year Award (2009) and The Financial Mail’s Top Ten Most Powerful People in advertising 2006 – 2010.
In 2014, Mr Mkhari was awarded the Special Achievement Award at the Kaelo Awards for the establishment of MSG Group and formation of POWER 98.7. This award is based on his transformative leadership and the significant role he continues to play in the media industry.
Given Mkhari holds He holds a Bachelor’s Degree and a Higher Education Diploma from the University of the North (now University of Limpopo) and a Diploma in International Relations from Bard College in NY ( USA).
Ashley is a Managing Partner and Head of Real Estate Advisory & Investment of Cornerstone Capital Partners. He has almost 30 years of professional Real Estate experience in various leadership capacities across Sub-Sharan Africa. Ashley has lead a wide range of successful commercial, retail, high density residential and industrial property transactions in the sales, leasing, investment, development and construction sectors.
Ashley began his property development career at Stocks and Stocks Properties in the early 1990s and was responsible for Development Management of industrial and commercial large scale projects. Since then, he’s developed a specialty for complex property projects – particularly in South Africa, and has forged many relationships with principal players in the region.
Most recently, Ashley has been focused on the growing Logistics Warehousing market.
Ashley Furman initially attended the University of the Witwatersrand School of Architecture, then later completed the Property Development Program at the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business and the Board Exam for the EAABSA.
Hermione is Head of Marketing of Cornerstone Capital Partners. Hermione previously worked at Morgan Stanley Hong Kong as a marketing specialist. Hermione has over 5 years of experience in branding and marketing.

Hermione received her Bachelor of (Hons) Business Administrative in Marketing in Hong Kong.
